Sierra Waldorf School is an independent non-profit corporation licensed by the State of California. We are supported through tuition, grants, special events and donations. Money raised from the Annual Giving Program supplements the costs of site improvements and curriculum enrichment. Your help is needed to support the inspired educational program at Sierra Waldorf School. Funds are carefully budgeted to maximize the effects of your contribution. Donations are tax deductible. Annual Giving Fund
This fund supports the school’s operating budget. With the generosity of our community this fund helps sustain and enhance our school programs and site improvements. You can make a secure donation using your credit card by clicking the donate button below. Donors can also pledge to contribute a specific amount each month using by calling the office to set it up or by emailing caroline@sierrawaldorf.com. Memorial and Honor Gifts
Honor the memory of a loved one or a friend. Give a birthday, graduation, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or holiday gift in honor of someone special. An acknowledgement will be sent to the person or family you choose. Your gift will also be a gift to the school and tax deductible.

Applause and Recognize
Personal donations are greatly appreciated. The school received an extraordinary donation that is to be used to create a community garden. The board, faculty, parents, and children send their warmest thanks for this generous gift.

Fundraising Events
Throughout the year the school holds many special events. Some of these are fundraisers and others are Waldorf festivals. All of these events are organized by school volunteers. The annual Rites of Spring auction, Legacy Dinner and Drive-thru dinners are fun ways to support the school.

Annual Fundraising Auction
Our annual Rites of Spring auction is held each year in March or April. This exciting event is held at the Sonora Fairgrounds and is our largest fundraiser of the year. Look for updates and auction information on our homepage as auction day approaches.

The Sierra Waldorf School store is a wonderful place to shop and explore. Items are supportive of the values and philosophies of Waldorf education. You will find toys, games, art supplies, yarns and more. Located downtown Sonora at 189 S. Washington Street.

  • SWS Inaugural Golf Tournament – Friday, June 14

    Join us for our 1st golf tournament to be held on FRIDAY, June 14th at the Saddle Creek Golf Resort. $125 per player, shotgun start at 1:30pm and dinner at 6pm. We are looking for tee sponsors and foursomes by May 15! Call (209) 984-0454 to sign up!

  • Walk Through the Grades

  • May Day Festival – May 4th

    Join us for this beautiful festival as we dance around the May pole, make crafts, enjoy live music and celebrate spring! Dine on delicious cuisine at our Blue Iris Cafe. Admission & parking is free and open to the greater community. 10:00am - 12:30pm Crafts, activities and vendors 10:30am - 11:30am Classroom open house 10:30am - 12:45pm Blue Iris Cafe 10:45am - 11:30am Music on the lower lawn 1pm- BELL RINGS!
